Dr. William Curran Wild began teaching at Bradford Durfee College of Technology in 1950. He was the first Dean of Administration for Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1974, and held the position of President while the search committee found a replacement for Dr. Donald Ezzell Walker from 1983-1984. St 1899, c 299-300 (Massachusetts) authorized the establishment of Bradford Durfee Textile School of Fall River as a municipal textile school. St 1918, c 248 transferred the school's property to the Commonwealth and reconstituted its board of trustees accordingly. St 1919, c 350, s 56 placed the trustees within the Department of Education.
